Sitemap no longer claims translations that don't exist

If you write an article in English and haven't translated it yet, the sitemap used to list a Spanish alternate URL that 404'd when crawled. That's bad for SEO and confusing for readers who clicked it from search.

The sitemap generator now only emits alternate locale entries for translations that actually exist. An English-only article ships with one English entry, no phantom Spanish sibling. The day you publish the Spanish translation, the sibling appears automatically.

Small change, but it cleans up two real problems at once: search engines stop indexing dead URLs, and reader trust in your blog's navigation goes up.
