A new homepage hero with a featured marquee and dedicated category pages
PublishedSora Tanaka
Your blog's homepage and category pages just got the biggest visual upgrade since launch.
The new MainHero is a two-column layout: your title, description, and newsletter signup live on the left, while a vertical marquee of your 20 most recent articles scrolls quietly on the right. On mobile it gracefully collapses into a horizontal scroll, and if your project has fewer than six articles we fall back to a centered single-column layout so empty blogs still look intentional.
Category and tag pages no longer share the homepage hero — they each got their own dedicated CategoryHero and TagHero that actually contextualize where the reader landed.
- Article cards without cover images now render with a monogram placeholder on a primary-tinted gradient — far better than the empty grey box we shipped before.
- A new MainFeaturedArticles section pairs two large feature cards with four compact tiles, perfect for editorial highlights.
- A new AllArticles list with sort controls and infinite scroll, backed by a fresh listing API.
We also corrected the newsletter copy to make it clear emails come from the blog author, not from us. Your readers' inbox relationship is with you.

The featured marquee at the top is a smart pattern for blogs. Visitors hit the home and see the editor's picks immediately instead of scrolling to find them.
