Email notifications now keep you in the loop

We've wired up timely email notifications for the moments that actually matter, so you don't have to keep checking back.

Depending on your preferences, you can now hear about the events that affect you:

• A post you submitted moves to a new stage on the roadmap
• Someone @mentions you in a comment
• A post you follow hits a popularity milestone
• A moderator removes a post or comment, with an optional reason
• Account and security changes, like a password update

Two principles guided all of it: we never email you about your own actions, and every non-essential notification respects your opt-out choices. Security-related messages always go through, but the rest are entirely yours to control.

The upshot is that the roadmap can keep you informed without ever becoming noisy.
