We added a notification preferences system so you can opt out of any category you'd rather not hear about, while still receiving the essentials. Don't care about milestone alerts but want to know when you're mentioned? That's now your call.

Under the hood this shipped with a fresh set of polished email designs in both English and Spanish, covering new situations like being mentioned in a comment, a post or comment being removed by a moderator (with an optional reason), reaching an upvote milestone, and confirming a change to your email address.

One important guardrail: security and account messages always reach you, no matter your settings, because those are about protecting your account. Everything else bends to your preferences.

The result is an inbox that contains only what you actually asked for.
