The public roadmap paints faster by loading search on demand

The public roadmap now appears noticeably quicker on first load.
Previously, the search box in the header pulled in a sizeable bundle of code on every visit, even for people who never used it. That extra weight competed with the content you actually came to see, slowing down the initial paint.
We changed search so it only loads the moment you reach for it, on your first scroll, tap, or keypress. The box is still right there when you want it; it just no longer taxes everyone's first impression of the page.
- About 90 KB of code no longer downloads on the initial view
- Search still works instantly once you engage with the page
For most visitors this means the roadmap is readable sooner, which matters most on slower connections and phones.
