Roadmap columns below the fold no longer slow down the first load
ShippedDavide Marchetti
Scrolling through the roadmap feels lighter, and the page becomes interactive sooner.
Each stage column on the roadmap renders a list of posts. Until now, every column became fully interactive the instant the page loaded, even the ones far below the fold that you couldn't see yet. That upfront work was the biggest contributor to the page feeling sluggish right after it appeared.
Now off-screen columns keep their fully-formed content for reading and search engines, but they only wake up for interaction once you scroll them into view. Combined with showing fewer cards per column to start, the burst of work at first paint is much smaller.
The roadmap responds to clicks and scrolls noticeably faster, with no change to what you can see or do.
